Jeff,
Uh-oh, I opened up another can of worms. :) I understand completely, I feel
almost the same in terms of their haphazard FF releases. I like FF7, only
because it is still a decent game, I think I like FF2 (4) and FF3 (6) and FF1
the best. I didn't even bother with Parasite Eve. I could not stand Secret of
Evermore, ugh! You forgot the real stinker, Saga Frontier! UGH!!!!
I love FF Tactics, however. The translation sucked, but it still a great game. I
have not started Xenogears yet (X-No-Gears is what I call it, just to enrage my
roommate! :) )I am looking forward to the Secret of Mana game, as well as the
anthology. I guess I don't mind the technology too much from FF3-FF8, but I
won't mind either if they went back to the medieval roots. I guess in both Lego
and video game realms, some marketing teams really are stupid.
Don't worry, Jeff, I share your frustration with Square as well. Ugh, we need to
use some of that technology on the marketing department!

| (...) Actually, I was sorta refering to the standard FF7 debate and the Emulation debate. What the heck, lets start one. :) What are everyone's opinions on emulation? Many of the games played on emulators are not available anymore or were never (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
