I didn't see the comercials...I only heard snippets on NPR Monday morning.  It
sounded to me like they had actors portraying drug users who were confessing
that they funded daddy-abduction and stuff through their economic support of
the drug trade.

To the best of my knowledge, they didn't say anything about being in favor of
legalization.  Can somone who saw the ads comment here?

Now I think I've seen one of the ads in question. It had different
teenage-looking kids switching in and out, each one saying a line, then
switching:

-"I helped kill a father"
-"It was just a bit of fun"
-"I let a terrorist get a passport"
-"I was just having some fun"
..etc..
-"I helped a killer buy a gun"
-"I wasn't hurting anyone else"

So, no, nothing about legalization. The correct point to make being
something like: 'Buying illegal drugs helps terrorism', which is NOT the
same as 'Buying drugs helps terrorism'. Unfortunately, it's the latter which
is implied in the advertising campaign, I'd say.
