Re: THIS is why this whole war is a waste of time. - NO ITS NOT - GO BUILD SOME LEGO!!

Terry is 100% right. One thing though: the details of the anti-war side are hard to discuss because every point is at least a sub-argument. Nothing is a given because some things remain speculative because the only available knowledge is outside (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Now, you have to read this ! How stupid can one get?

(...) No, but it puts you in the center of the crosshairs. With a Patriot Act that may never expire maybe we can some day figure out a way to reach across the border and drag you down here to suffer the penalty of U.S. law. Collaborator. You are (...)   Re: THIS is why this whole war is a waste of time. - NO ITS NOT - GO BUILD SOME LEGO!!

(...) Frank, do you really think the people who are expressing stupid opinions such as : "USA is supported by God" or "SH is the Devil and we HAD to get rid of him, there was NO other solution!!!" will listen to any good argument? They are blind to (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: THIS is why this whole war is a waste of time. - NO ITS NOT - GO BUILD SOME LEGO!!

(...) Hmm, the war isn't a waste of time, so we should just go on about our business and not talk about it and build some LEGO instead? Personally, while I think some of the opinions are wrong here, I think it's good to talk about what's going on. (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Hotel Palestine

(...) Do they have to wait for orders from above for ANY threat? How far up do they have to go to wait for orders? Does each soldier have to call Bush (commander in chief) on the phone before shooting someone who might be a non-combatant? Soldiers (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Now, you have to read this ! How stupid can one get?

(...) I've received another email from this pathetic loser today. I didn't write to him since the day I started this thread here, and my email to him was only to tell him I didn't care about him and that I wouldn't read or answer to his junk. Today, (...)   Re: Iran: For peace in the region? No! For a piece *of* the region...

(...) Scott, you obviously haven't been paying attention. Didn't you hear that the US is fulfilling a divine charter to establish our version of correctness wherever we feel our politico-economic interests may reside? We're on the side of the (...)   "Syria has to give back all the WoMD that Iraq shipped"

(...) I tend not to trust what wanted war criminals have to say about countries their army has invaded for the sake of territorial expansion.   Re: Some countries ARE better than others, deal with it.

Well it might be that some countries ARE better than others, but at least it can be proved that the US is not better than North Korea - and by your own standards too. (...) Did you mean to post this to off-topic.debate? Shouldn't it be in (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: THIS is why this whole war is a waste of time.

(...) I think Bush tells himself what he wants to hear and then convinces himself that it is true. "To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou cannot be false to any man." Perhaps you are reacting to his own deception (...)   Re: THIS is why this whole war is a waste of time.

(...) I would agree that our election process is far from perfect. I wish they would require a photo ID at poling places, or have some other way for voters to prove who they are. Here in Southern California there is always a secret group that buses (...) (21 years ago, 9-Apr-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: THIS is why this whole war is a waste of time.

(...) Perhaps I am a bit gullible but I tend to believe that our leaders are not lying. I even believed Clinton, who I felt was a pathological liar, when he said that bombing Iraq was in the interest of national security. I have always believed the (...)
