The false idea that you cant end a sentance with a preposition in English comes
from the fact that you literally cant in Latin. You shouldnt just tack a
preposition onto the end of a sentance (Where is the library? vs. Where is the
library at?), but if removing the preposition altogether causes the sentance to
stop making sense, it is acceptable to leave it alone, no matter what your past
English/grammar/writing teachers may have tried to tell you. Remember, we also
had it hammered into our heads that you should never say you and me, even
though it is horribly incorrect to say you and I in any instance where you
would just refer to yourself as me.
