Buy something from me - I leave feedback on 100% of my transactions and I
always reciprocate on feedback (I occasionally give feedback for non-ebay
transactions). I also solicit feedback from people who do not reciprocate. I
went through all my feedback and checked to see who "owed me feedback" and
found 20 people who owed me feedback. About 15 were pretty old, but after
sending a nice email, I got 7 of them to give me feedback and 1 said he would
if he could remember his password.
I am currently at 86 - all positive - and have been over $2,000 for 2 months,
but I will be unable to become a power seller unless I get 14 more positive
feedbacks by the 29th, which is only 4 days away. Unfortunate, since that
many people "owe me feedback," but I will get about half of them after the
deadline because their bricks are en route. Oh well.
For a buyer, as long as you have no negatives, you are really OK, since people
don't cancel bids from low feedback rating bidders. As a seller, I figure
that you really need to have a star by your name. I just can't wait to get
past 100 so my star can turn turquoise.

| My problem as a buyer is that I've got so much stuff coming in that I never get around to all the feedback. There are also some sellers I have bought from multiple times which I owe a bunch of feedbacks (being able to leave only one feedback per day (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.theory)
