Re: Tough times in Toytown force LEGO® to rebuild

(...) Am I the only one who was shocked to read this? A quick perusal of LEGO catalogs from 1984--1994 shows clearly that TLG's core market was boys aged 6--12. What happened in the past ten years that shrunk TLC's core market by 29% and skewed it (...) (22 years ago, 5-Sep-04, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Authorized Lego retailers

(...) Hi, I am a representative of The Block Shop. I am posting to clarify some of the issues and concerns raised in this thread regarding theblockshop.com.   Re: Authorized Lego retailers

(...) The following text comes directly from an actual Lego Systems, Inc. order invoice/packing slip from March 2003 on a form dated January 1993. Only relevant portions reproduced here exactly as presented on the form; emphasis is exactly as on the (...) (22 years ago, 11-Aug-04, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Authorized Lego retailers

(...) Is that still the case? There are a couple of small online LEGO retailers in Australia (that I know of), neither currently have a store-front, though one did a couple of years ago. That one (which is currently closed for personal reasons) also (...) (22 years ago, 10-Aug-04, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Authorized Lego retailers

(...) Looks to me like this is just a mega-fan trying to make some cash. They may use their home as their store-front. A friend of mine did something similar to this a few years ago (okay, like 15) with role-playing stuff. He sold via a "newsletter" (...)   Re: Authorized Lego retailers

(...) There is some evidence to suggest that #1 and #2 could be the same entity. Even if they are not the same entity, public information shows that they are no more than 20 miles apart from one another. Draw your own conclusions if you will.   Where has all the Duplo gone?

As a big AFOL and also a parent, I always make a point to scope out the Duplo section when shopping. But what I have noticed is that (at least in Singapore), the amount of shelf space allocated to Duplo is now miniscule. Just one tub and train set (...)   Fry's 30% off

For any of my fellow Lugneters in Metro Phoenix. Fry's is having a 30% off sale on all Lego sets. If you are a VIP member the discount is better and you can't combine. I tried.   Re: Regarding Bricklink Utilities

(...) Optimal cost is, I'm sure, a very difficult problem (probably NP-complete). But even ignoring shipping costs would be a good place to start. Minimizing the number of stores reduces shipping cost. It may not the absolutely lowest cost, but it's (...) (22 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.market.theory, lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)

  Re: Fed UP!!!!!!!!
