Re: Use of trademarks.. is www.legoaftermarket.com legal?

  Re: eBay oddity

(...) Or (and I've only just figured this out) I could put in a bid for four items knowing that it's impossible to win more than two (based on the existing higher bids). Of course, I could get stuck if the high bidders withdraw... But to maintain my (...) (23 years ago, 4-Apr-03, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: eBay oddity

(...) It merely is. That's eBay: they can't figure out that on a dutch auction (which is what I presume this is) that if you get completely outbid on all items on a per unit bid, you may wish to up your bid but bid on fewer units. Is it advantageous (...) (23 years ago, 4-Apr-03, to lugnet.market.theory)

  eBay oddity

I've been interested on an auction on ebay for multiple items, and am a bit puzzled by the way it works. I put in a bid for 4 items at (say) $50 each. $50 is a good price for the sets, and at $50 I'd be happy buying four of them. I watched the (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-03, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: 2x4 Dark Gray Bricks Discontinued??

(...) I was just talking with someone about this very thing yesterday. This item has been listed as "sold out" for a few weeks now. It is my hope that this item will be restocked soon and NOT discontinued. On a similar note, I have what could be (...) (24 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Best time/day to list auctions?

(...) Definitely True. Todd Lehman had some data listed in this message: (URL) I have always found it odd and counterintutive that Tuesdays seem to be the day of highest bidding activity. Personally, when I used to run a few auctions I would time (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Best time/day to list auctions?

(...) All IMHO, only: It's not as important when you start your auctions as when you end them. Saturday is usually the best end date from the seller's standpoint, at least for Lego. I rarely bother bidding on Saturday-ending auctions because the (...) (24 years ago, 28-Dec-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Best time/day to list auctions?

There was discussion on this a really long long time ago, and since for some reason it stuck in my brain and Lugnet keeps every post, I'll make use of both and take a quick visit to the past...here's a link: (URL) would be interesting to see how (...)   Best time/day to list auctions?

As a seller, I'm trying to decide when is best to list auctions, and I'd like input from you all: Since ebay auctions always end 5, 7, etc. days from the moment they are listed, it's important to start your auction (as the seller) at the right time (...)   Re: KBToys discount strategy

(...) Why? They get a steady customer volume. I have also noticed that the Target Visa (a decent deal actually) gives you credit for additional 10% off coupons for the purchase you made with a 10% off coupon.   Re: KBToys discount strategy

(...) Sure. The only time I buy clothes is when Robinson's-May has a sale and then has discount coupons on top of the discounts. Of course, some places may specifically deny the use of coupons on top of some discounted prices - it all depends on (...) (24 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

  KBToys discount strategy

KBToys recently introduced a marketing gimmick that allows 20% off future purchases. Every $100 spent qualifies one for a 20% off coupon. The coupon takes off 20% any future purchase, even if the items are already on sale. The coupons never expire, (...) (24 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Target Exclusive Trains On Clearance

I don't think much of a leap is needed to figure out how *that* particular product line is going... I've never seen TRU slap an orange clearance sticker on a toy as fast as they did for Galidor. It went from endcap display to the steel bargain bin (...) (24 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.market.theory)
