You can use Billpoint to let people pay for things other than auctions using
a credit card, but money doesn't accumulate in there like with Paypal.

I have never used Billpoint.  I would be interested in experences/anecdotes
anyone has to offer with their service.  I do like the accumulation feature
at Paypal, since I often buy after I recieve a few payments.

I'd like to find an alternative too! PayPal has left some people in Europe
with "stranded" money or with payments that are "hanging" and can't be
accepted, who have contacted me asking to help them unwind. I am not sure
how, exactly!

I have had similar messages from overseas customers... Others are now
frustrated or scared to use Paypal making the buying/bidding process less
palatable for them. Initially  was very happy when Paypal went
international.  Now, I am not so thrilled.

Anyway, I would love to hear about alternatives. I did a little digging and
these links offer some clues but I haven't dug in deeper

I have been getting more Bidpay payments in the past couple months than ever
before (even though their rates to buyers seem high)  I have been very
satisfied with Bidpay, but the cost is at least $5 to the buyer (on top of
shipping and the winning bid)

I'll have to check these out.  I have never heard of them before today.
