I never said it was your intention to deceive. I just think the
implied attitude behind "anyone with a clear understanding of English"
is a little misplaced, given the fact that your eBay description is
NOT crystal clear. If it were, you wouldn't have the update
explaining it.
I doubt you meant to deceive. I don't doubt you failed, if only
unintentionally, to be perfectly clear.
I've seen people auction off empty boxes before. They clearly state,
in the description of the item, EMPTY BOX. You didn't, and no matter
how you may say "a box of nails is different from a nail box", the
reality is at least one, and probably more than one person
misinterpreted what you wrote.
You made a mistake, big freaking deal. Stop trying to defend the
mistake in a self-righteous way (your argument is weak), accept that
nobody here (at least not me) is calliing you a thief, and move on.
I'm misunderstood all the time - it's no crime.
