Welcome Joel!

There are several of us around town, some who have HUGE collections!  Not me
though!  I build mainly Technic stuff, and am collecting lots of bricks for
a town that one day I will build.

I've never gotten into the Technic sets, myself. Mostly afraid of how much I'd
spend on them, I think (like THAT'S really a sound reason). ;)

I don't think I have a 'huge' collection, but it's certainly more than I could
have hoped for as a child. I've only recently begun to consider the bulk sets
(1200 bricks for $20 some odd dollars can't be ignored!) to build up my
collection more effectively.

I'm hoping to spend a little mad money and get some Cross and Tee plates now
that I can build my own city larger, brick wise. Besides, I have to put my
train to use. The poor bugger's been built and sitting in its box since
Christmas when I got it. Needs more track!

Ah..but that's another story that comes after the Castles I promised my wife
we'd build.. :)

Welcome to the group!

John Matthews

Thanks, John!
I look forward to perhaps meeting all of those in the Columbus area in the
future.:)

Well, having skulked around LUGNET for a little while now, I suppose it's • time
I should post something. :)

Being a newbie here, I'll give a quick overview for those who care:

I'm 27 and have been addicted to LEGO's since I got a Universal building • set
for my 4th birthday and have collected pretty much steady since then. What
I've seen sometimes referred to around here as my "dark period" (I think?)
occured from about ages 16 to 18 and it ended promptly when I found the • City
Parking Garage set on sale and couldn't refuse it.

Much to my wife's chagrin, the recent years have found more money being • spent
on these wonderful creates than should be - but she can't complain too • much as
she's a Castle theme fanatic herself. :)

I'm curious - is there anything in the way of a Columbus area LEGO group • or
club that meets at all? I see there are such elsewhere, but haven't come
across anything to indicate one for Cols. And is anyone here planning to • go to
either of the Crew games that the LEGO Soccer Experience Tour truck will • be at?

This is more than enough for now, I'm sure.

If anyone wants to see my meager offerings of the moment, they should be • at
least worth a grin or two! :)
