I am completely against opening up a LEGOFest to the public:
1) Theft
2) Damage - I noticed at the 3 Fests I've been to is the care people
handle the stuff.
3) Problems with people - noisy kids etc.
4) I only want to trade and help people with a genuine interest, what
would the general public want with an auto-decoupler.
If the Southport event is public I probably won't bother going - at
least not bringing any stuff with me - that means no blue hoppers!
I think a different classification and event style is needed - a LEGO
Event with The LEGO Company backing where most is display, then a LIC-
type area, etc. I went to one in Milton Keynes years ago but they
stopped doing them instead sending everyone to LL Windsor.

That means a man is guarding something and not enjoying himself.

Why the emphasis on profit?

I love the atmosphere of the LEGOFests I've been to and would rather it
stay that way.

Yep possibly - I could have got more stuff sold that way - anyone want a
Maidens Cart?

How about a Castle linked together using the modular system of which the
Guarded Inn is one.

A display for a 'LEGO Event' maybe.

You may have the same accomodation problem as I which meant many people
in Scotland, etc. were unable to attend.

3 months after Southport, making sure not to clash with EuroFest.

Nope.

Train, Modular Castle based on TLC models (as well as MOCs).

| Following the great day I had at Reddich, I feel compelled to organise a Thames Valley Legofest. Looking at the current calender - April Cheshire, May/June Southport - then a July event would avoid some clashes. Also would be a nice warm(?) weekend (...)
