   Hi Peter,

I agree my comment was rude and had it not been 2am for me when I wrote it I probably wouldn’t have posted it but I will stand by the point because it was in response to something that was extremely rude. You have said much the same thing as Peter Edwards but in a polite manner and in no way would I respond rudely to it. He may think that $50 is too much for the convention but I think that free is a bloody bargain for good manners.

Well, Well, it appears I need to put more words in my posts.

Extremely rude? I see my sarcasim was wasted on you. I’m thinking your wound a bit tight mate.

I picked up your sarcasm. I just considered it rude.

In hindsight my message “Are you wanting some exhibits or just vendors?” could have been interpreted with a negative tone, but my intent was only to find out the type of exhibitor’s sort.

The trouble with electronic media is it’s sometimes hard to gauge the tone, hence the implementation of smilies and other ascii art.

Agreed.

Ross Crawford reply was right on the money, to the point, informative and funny.

I agree. I shouldn’t have posted what I did and I have said so already.

I’ll admit I was excited by the announcement of Brickvention 2006, and then sorely disappointed by the lack of any substance on the website (just pay money now).

You boys have put on plenty of exhibits in the past and probably in some dodgy venues so I can see the attraction in uping the anty. As stated by many others $50 is good value. Ok then, I stand corrected.

I have nothing to do with the organisation of BrickVention. I’m most likely not even going to be there since I live in the UK.

So Tim, you admit to being deliberately rude but no apolgy, just excuses, good form, so forgive me if I don’t send you any money.

I would say that “I do apologise to Peter Edwards.” (here) was an apology. And thanks for yours in your other post. As I said, it was late and I shouldn’t have posted it and I will apologise again.

As pointed out above, since I have nothing to do with BV your not paying them money would be a wasted gesture.

Still I got 13 messages to this thread with my poorly thought out message, yet my well designed MOC’s thread got sod all reponses, go figure.

That is the way of the internet unfortunately. For the record I haven’t replied to any of your MOCs because I don’t feel I know enough about robotics but I have certainly spotlighted them before. They are very cool.

Tim
