I can't see why this is the wrong place for Wilkes' comments. Dear Lego is
an almost pointless place to put voice to these sentiments
[lugnet.dear-lego Open letters to the LEGO Group (not necessarily to be
read by anyone at LEGO)]. By contrast, it is believed that TLC people
ACTUALLY read this newsgroup. Plus, if you had read the charter for this
newsgroup you'd know that: "This new .lego.* area is intended more as a
'community dialogue with the LEGO Company -- for courteous and concise
discussion'" -- right?

By understanding our areas of dissatisfaction as consumers we make it easier
for the Lego Direct people to do their work in a manner more to our liking.
Plus Lego Direct is linked to some degree to Shop@Home, if there were a
newsgroup for S@H perhaps it would be a good place to place these comments
-- as it stands, this newsgroup is probably the best place for these comments.

That is definitely a matter of opinion. Lego Direct is doing some really
good stuff, they could do more. The company overall could be doing a lot
better. Again, there is no other newsgroup of which it is positively known
that TLC employees actually read it with regularity.
If you have further complaints on this subject they should probably be
addressed to the administrators of Lugnet who can create newsgroups and who
have significant authority to declare a post wrongly posted to a certain
newsgroup.
FWIW, I always imagined this newsgroup would actually create more dialogue
WITH, rather than monologue AT, Lego Direct. But, whatever...
