Re: New stuff on LEGO.com: Mindstorms redesign, Build updates —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Junkbot is a lot of fun! Nik and I spent several enjoyable hours. There are a number of good puzzles in it. It doesn't seem to be saving stats from one session to the next, though, is that WAD? (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...) —Matthew Gerber
(...) Larry, I got word from Tomas a little while ago. The build of the game that made it to the site IS NOT saving. The beta builds did...hence the Hall of Fame scores. They will be fixing it next week. I played the game straight through late last (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

In lugnet.lego.direct, Matthew Gerber writes: <release not saving> (...) Thanks for the word up on that. (...) That's bad! (well... good, I suppose) It means the game IS addictive. It sort of reminds me of Lode Runner a bit for those of you that (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) No prob...I was all caffenated up anyway...it was either Junkbot or reading... Ah...Lode Runner...It also has a Lemmings aspect to it... (...) Heh, heh..."Run the Gauntlet" frustrated me for a while... The vast majority of them don't (...) Me (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) Roger that. I am *almost* ready to take back all the mean things I've ever said about Shockwave. (1) I wish you could play it standalone though. (...) I'm even digging the music, it's pretty catchy. 1 - But please note that this game doesn't (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) I was hoping for the same thing...no-go when I tried to download to Shockmachine... If Tomas doesn't catch it here, I'll mention it the next time I e-mail with him...I'm thinking a CD in the next Mania Magazine... Matt (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...) —Larry Pieniazek
(...) That would be cool! I would be OK with it not saving high scores, etc when it was standalone, and requiring all scoring record attempts to be while connected (to prevent hacks). We were connected to the LEGO website for many hours yesterday, (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...) Tomas Clark
(...) The bug that was keeping players' progress from being saved has been fixed. Our apologies to all those who completed levels between Friday morning and Monday afternoon! (...)         RE: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...) —Doug Finney
(...) First off, let me say this game is totally awesome! With the save working I finally had time to play through to the end. I haven't figured the trick of a couple levels but still claimed Master Rank #7. :-) Yow, have to shave almost 70 to reach (...) (23 years ago, 15-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.gaming)

Re: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...) —Larry Pieniazek
(...) What is your score? I suspect there's been some improvement in scores since then... Nik and I together (on my ID larrypieniazek) are at 526 total score for a rank of 31 as of this writing. The big area I can see to get a few more points off is (...) (23 years ago, 18-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.gaming)

Re: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...) —John Radtke
(...) I was sure that 354 must be a hack (no disparagement or accusation intended - just astonishment =O ) but I have managed 363 myself. I can't imagine where to shave off nine more but neither could I imagine before it happened the 14 I shaved off (...) (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.gaming)

Re: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...) —Larry Pieniazek

RE: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...) —Doug Finney
(...) Biggest help to me on that screen was to think big. Instead of clearing a path a brick or two at a time, grab a whole pile, let Junkbot walk "through" them and put them back basically right were they were. For example, you should be able to (...)
