Can you clarify this?

It is true as i have been told, by some Lego Employees at Shop@Home on the
freephone number. about 6PM tonight, as i wanted to make sure its right

Are you saying shop@home 's call centre for Europe is in Slough, or that
the UK call centre is in slough?

Again the employees said they are in Slough, and i believe it mentions the
call centre in a Magazine (The Face) when i had photo shoot of my Lego
Minifigures for them. Its now the European Headquarters, and they made this
there headquarters because of the strong Pound and the very weak Euro. Idea
place as well, not far from London and strong links with Europe via Airport
and the Channel Tunnel.

When i used to work for telecoms company, (which was about 6 weeks ago)
I used to do non-geographic numbers which are 0800/0845/0990 in the UK etc..
in this case for Lego is 00800, which is international free phone for the
UK, but they point to a UK number. But in a case of Germany they ask a
router (Network provider) to transfer any calls made to the 00800 to another
destination to a UK number. It basically directs you to the new number. Its
like call direct on the Mobile phones

The system is very clever, i have a catalogue (winter 2000) for UK and
Germany. and the Phone Numbers are the Same

The Technology behind this is fact very good. When you phone Lego via the
freephone number, a PC or other mean scans your calling number. In my case
its 01522 but it take the first few digits. Ok it scans the 01522 and puts
me though to a UK employee. on the other hand if your phoning from Germany
you will get a German Speaking Employee at Lego "Slough"

I see that everywhere apart from Austria and Italy has the same phone • number (not that this means anything with today's
technology)

as explained above. If you not sue, i will try to explain it in more detail
as i have a sheet of paper explain it in more detail somewhere in my Lego
mess :-)

Every Call that you make on a 00800 or any nongeo number, your phone number
is logged for marketing reasons, so you may receive the annoying call from
Market Research people :-) But i don't know if Lego Sells the information on
to any one else. But i believe that practice is illegal in the UK.
