I'd want some rough idea of what was there and some sort of rough idea
of the per piece cost. I don't want 5000 dollars worth of belville
suitcases and starfish at a dollar a piece! But I just freed up a chunk
of capital so...

If (and that's a very big if) I were able to swing a good deal and have the
financial backing of the Bank of Pieniazek and others (1) where in the world
would I put the stuff?

I'm happy to do the dealing (the free lunch I'm offering the spm and his
wife this weekend should be a good bargining tool (2) ) but I'm not prepared
to store the stuff once it's paid for and being sorted.  Any ideas?

Yes, let's talk offline, I followed up via email and blind copied some
folks I have in mind. One thing to think of that it may make sense to
ship the whole lot ONCE to a country with low shipping costs and do the
sorting/selling/reshipping thing from there.

(1) In good humour of course

No, a consortium would be welcome, I certainly don't want to shut anyone
else out! The more backers the better, within reason.

I'll endeavour to get a breakdown of the parts available but I'm not making any promises that I'll be able to get a good enough deal on the whole lot should it contain a large number of valuable parts. I haven't been able to establish if the (...) (25 years ago, 19-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

I could easily free up about $500 or so, and i'd like to participate. I have space it could be stored/sorted in too.... Paul Sinasohn (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)
