Since you are in a postition to make decisions about what products to stock
and you _Know_ that people with cash to spend want "just bricks" it must be
extremely frustrating that you cannot get what people want to buy.
How do you respond to people asking for just bricks?
If you could stock the Lego isle with 10 different items with basic building
bricks as the emphasis along side 150 theme-based products (and never run out
of stock of any items), which would you prefer and which would sell better?
Would you be willing to reduce shelf space for themed items so more basic
brick items could be stocked?
Would this really make customers happy or would they find something else to
complain about (in regards to Lego products)?
And as far as HP sets, I have not found a store for several weeks that had the
full assortment of Potter. What is up with this? Is this simply a
stock-shortage problem or perhaps an artificial scarcity caused by retailers
(from your point of view)?
