I think there is a definite tendency to "notice what we have/like"... I know
with respect to automobiles, I tend to notice how many Durangos there are
because we own one but hardly ever notice Explorers or Suburbans...
So your pattern recognising brain might not be seeing the other stuff as
clearly. :-) What do others think?

| (...) I've noticed this myself - cars I like, Firestone tires ;) but it also works the other way around - things I actively dislike I notice greatly as well. Faster recognition is why I sort by color... looking at a k8 full of things I can easily (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.general)

| Just the other day, I found a 1x4 black hinge with two blue 1x1 bricks on top!? I found a 1x2 trans. green plate in a parking lot, a blue 2x2 brick in a sand pit and about 5 others from a while ago that I can't remember very well! It's funny how I (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.general)
