Well I have to agree with Thomas,
"A" gets most of my vote, but "z" , the re-collecting the sets of my childhood is
very strong in the picture, which means that "b" is having a greater effect all the
time. But it is still "A" all the way.
As to the other argument about collecting rare items that might be reintroduced, and
the risk involved in that, here is my rule of thumb...... if the part is still
produced today, but not in a color that is rare (like 3x3 low sloped outside corner
yellow bricks), then it may get reintroduced. But if we are talking about say large
red or white spoked wheels, which haven't been produced since the 1970's, then I
would assume that the mold for this is in the foundations of a new Billund LEGO
building, and will never be produced again.
