I'm pretty much 100% A.  Something for me to have fun with, and something to
pass on to my kids in the future.  :)
Heh. I hope Cathy knows of your future plans! (If she reads this, I hope she
doesn't suddenly start wondering why kids is plural, etc. Also, I don't know
about you, but my girlfriend held out hope for the first couple years we
dated that I'd outgrow this 'LEGO thing'. She's long since given up.)

Mostly the same here.  I will confess that I get a certain amount of happy
from having rare parts.  I'm not certain exactly where it comes from,
possibly a mild selfish streak, but it's there just the same.

Yes!  That's exactly what I feel about my rare parts - just couldn't say it as
well as James has.  I've been trying to express myself in another newsgroup,
but was having problems.  :)

No sweat dude, I think a lot of us have that 'selfish pride' to a certain
extent; I mean, there are some pieces that are just cool to have (in
particular, I think we love of the old decorated pieces; the classic LL928
on blue bricks for example, or the 'Canada Post' with Canadian Flag on white
bricks).

But on the other hand, if the classic 4x2 red windows (the ones I used for
Optimus) were suddenly widely available again, rendering my stash of 70's
windows worthless, I wouldn't be too upset.

I think all this may be somewhat moot, though, as I can't see them offering
parts we haven't seen for 10 years again. For that matter, requesting
specific printed bricks doesn't seem too feasible either. But if they do
offer any existing part in any colour, I'll be too happy to care about what
they don't have.
