Hi

I did metion the phone call about the domains

It was : www.legotechnic.co.uk

In which, was my mistake, and i belive there is no legal action taken agaist
me beacuse i am giving up the domain of www.legotechnic.co.uk to lego
without any hassle.

So Lego are watching you, do not use the word Lego in you domain. It really
shouldn't be used as a sub folder in you domain as well

So Lego do treat their TM very good, so don't do what i did, or you will be
in alot of trouble

If anybody is interested i have a new domain of : www.technic-uk.co.uk ,
which is not affected by the fair use

Hope this clears a few things

Michael

I assume that TLC frowns greatly upon people using "lego" in domain • names,
don't they?  Like ilovelego.com or everybodywantslego.com, etc.  I just • need a
little clarification, since I don't think I've ever seen a fan page with • lego
in the domain.

Michael Edwards mentioned last week in the 2000 scans thread that he had a
phone call from LEGO Denmark legal department, which he was not in to • take.
At the time he assumed it was because he had the 2000 technic pictures
posted on his site, but it turned out, I  believe (following a discussion • at
the UK LEGOFest), to be due to the fact he had recently registered the
domain name "technic-uk.co.uk". Clearly they treat TM infringements in • this
way very seriously.

Perhaps Michael can tell us more.

Huw

Michael, Did TLC at least offer to pay the registration fees you originially paid? That would only be fair. (...) -- Tom Stangl ***(URL) Visual FAQ home ***(URL) Bay Area DSMs (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)
