Here are my thoughts (scattered though they may be): I wouldn't care what scale a
model-team MF is, as long as it fulfills a couple of criteria:
(1) The scale must be absolutely self-consistent -i.e., no Kenner-esque huge
cockpit and fat midsection
(2) The detail should be intricate and as accururate to Canon as possible.
What that means is it should be as large as it needs to be to bring these about.
If it doesn't even need to be as large as the MT X-Wing, that's fine with me.
When something is supposed to have a common tie-in to other sets, though, that's a
different story. Specifically I'm referring to any set that is designed to come
with/be used with Minifigs ... then they should (ideally :) be scaled accurately to
the size of the fig - that would make the MF significantly large than an X-Wing.
