The NEW Castle World! —Richard Marchetti
I declare this subject now open to discussion. Please post all of your thoughts on the subject here in this newsgroup. Noise or not, this is our home. Nothing is sacred, everything is permitted. I propose: 1. That we maintain the former Castle World (...) (21 years ago, 14-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Anthony Sava
(...) I have no problem with the idea of keeping the old website in tact, but all it is at the moment is a museum for the days gone by anyway. (...) I mean no disrespect, and I'm sure that Craig is a great artist, but so what? IOM never revealed (...) (21 years ago, 14-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Richard Marchetti
Do you object to maintaining the archive as a completely separate link from the new site? If yes, why should it disappear? Just because people are now long absent, doesn't mean that their existing contributions aren't worth preserving in some way. I (...) (21 years ago, 14-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Anthony Sava
(...) No no, please don't misunderstand me. I'm perfectly happy with keeping an archive of the old CW. Like I said, it's healthy to look back at the past and what others have done. (...) I don't object to Craig's artwork, and in fact would be (...) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Richard Marchetti
(...) The "button" is only for others to link to Castle World, as on the sidebar for this newsgroup. Everything else is up for discussion/grabs. It's only the link buttons I wanted to retain as a nod to the old CW. Just to be sure of what I am (...) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Stephen Bishop
Hi all, Just a thought I was having, but if we could tweak the original logo a little bit. Maybe alter the colors or something minimal like that. This way it would still hearken back to the original (to keep with tradition and all that) but would (...) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Jeff Byrd
(...) Here's another thought - Have any of you tried the links on the CW pages lately? Most of them don't work. Maybe there should be a new CW. Jeff (long time Castle reader - dreams of laying seige to the moonbase next Brickfest)...oh, and small (...) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Anthony Sava
(...) I think I'd also like to see a section for articles written by Balladeers about the ballads they write, much like the discussion held on Saturday at Brickfest. Topics could include 'How to get started on a Ballad' or 'How to create a Sig-Fig' (...) (21 years ago, 16-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Ben Harris
Although I am not an especially prominent member on Lugnet, I would like to state that a new Castle World would be something I would full-heartedly support! Whatever may come of this discussion, I would be willing to help the new site in any way I (...) (21 years ago, 14-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Saskia van Doesburg
Hi I agree that a completely new site for castle world should be the best option, include a link to the old site and you're done. Sitedesign is a thing that changes very fast, so something that's been made some time ago isn't up to date anymore. No (...) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Dan Thompson
(...) Links and buttons from past ideas, wonderful! As to the new site this is what I would like to see. 1. Castle World is all about castle fans, make it based on what .castle wants, maybe try some new polls 2. New look, brighter, crisper, more eye (...)         Re: The NEW Castle World! —David Eaton
BTW, I've still got (URL) which now points to the new CW site... It's really only a forwarder at present, but just letting people know it's still out there... DaveE (21 years ago, 15-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Nathan Wells
I'm very glad CW is getting a facelift. I'm willing to help in anyway I can (provide images, input etc.) (URL) (yes - I'm not just a .spacer!) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Micah Berger
(...) Sweet! I really like DC comics & I should have guessed by all those heroes he has on his site. The Flash rules! (...) Definitely keep the logo. Aside from castle time cruisers/twisters is my favorite theme. Above all lets not forget what CW (...) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Alex Polimeni
(...) I would like to announce that i am back, im busting my butt on the CQ rules, and i dont plan to turn lurker again. Well, i dont plan to, doesnt mean i wont, at some point in the future, of course. First off, I volenteer to become a NCW (...) (21 years ago, 17-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Richard Marchetti
(...) I know ZERO about gaming, most probably. The sum of what I know is that people begin with characters and a scenario; the characters have certain "power" levels and the action is dictated by the throw of different kinds of dice. A "dungeon (...) (21 years ago, 17-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)

Re: The NEW Castle World! —Alex Polimeni
(...) That is right, but in CQ there is no "mission". You go through the IOM- see my example by searching my name- gathering the stuff you would need. Then you set out in a direction into the wilderness. The point of the RPG is to claim and colonize (...) (21 years ago, 18-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, FTX)
