October 31st - Picture of the Day Vol. 2

Hello! Today is not only Halloween but also Reformation Day. Being neither catholic nor Irish I've the reformation in mind rather than this custom that has not even been known here (Germany) before the ad industry adopted and established it. So. (...) Hi Jojo, This is an excellent scene. I like the figures and furniture. The random fieldstone floor pattern is a very good detail. Ben (21 years ago, 31-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) Thanks for the explanation Jojo. I saw this picture earlier but I didn't have the context, so I was scratching my head in puzzlement. . . . while I pondered, weak and weary. Here's a Halloween-y MOC from Edgar Allen Poe: (URL) a spooky day. Hey Jojo, Happy Halloween/Reformation Day. Great MOC. I especially like the way you put the inkstain into the floor and into the wall (SNOTty, even). The cabinet on the wall and the chair are also very cool. The green thing is still a puzzle to me, (...) (21 years ago, 31-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) Wonderful! Like Larry, I am reminded of something else--but for me it's the Simpsons Hallowe'en ep. I like the full bookshelves and the bust. Using the old lady painting from Harry Potter as the painting--also wonderful! Nice job. Dave K (21 years ago, 31-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Cool. Thanks for the information. I almost wondered if it was some sort of pulpit or bapistry or something (because of the relief figures around the outside) that was being stored in this room for some reason. Now it all makes sense. Anthony, That's hilarious, and yet tragic, for we've all been in similar situations. My favorite line is: "I tried to catch the chips off-guard - I pressed again, but twice as hard." That one made me LOL. Bruce (21 years ago, 31-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.fun)
