Hi all,

My 7 yr old nephew sent me this message, with a further explanation from • my

{Uncle Alan,  Why does Gilbert the Bad have his eye patched out? • Jonathan  (a

I heard that pirates (or in this case - Gilbert the Bad) wore eye patches • so

So some wore patches even with two healthy eyes :)

Its quite handy when liveroleplaying and creeping around in the dark to keep
one eye shut. when someone sets off a magnesium flare or the like and then
jumps you they dont expect you to be able to see them :)

as for Gilbert the Bad .. Maybe he only has one eye ?? ;)
