Re: Help! I'm being overrun by minifigs!

(...) His BrickShelf gallery has been steadily growin’ since the beginnings of this thread. About 4 months ago Jimmy started photographing each of his contingents. (And I believe he’s still got a few more to go…) (...) Wicked, I can’t wait to see (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Corner Tower for Modular Wall System

(...) Troy, That's really nice! I really like that it's functional, too. My castles tend to be all show but no function. In part that's because I'm illustrating a story, so I'm just building for the camera most of the time, so often it's a facade (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Help! I'm being overrun by minifigs!

(...) Jimmy, you are my hero as well! Those armies are righteous! The uniformity you have is incredible, I guess you could probably field an even bigger force if you lined up the irregulars and reserve militias. I was especially impressed by the 30 (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.castle)

Corner Tower for Modular Wall System

I've completed construction of a prototype tower for use with a modular wall system and would like to get some opinions on it: You can view some (fairly bad) pictures here: (URL) tower is functional in that it has interior stairs that minifigs willl (...) (...) Perhaps... (...) I think you sort of got it....the character has a lot of my features.... and interests. He has a GED, which would probably pass in his world, not in ours... so he is a bit different in a number of ways. Having brushes with the (...)   Re: Parents and Lego (was Re: Castle Ctuniie-My first castle MOC!!!!!)

(...) Back in 11th grade, I snuck Lego out from the attic and secretly played with it in my room. Not much of it, but enough to have some fun with. I hid it from my friends & family so nobody would know... One day, my mom came into my room, rather (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.people)

  Re: another castle story published...

(...) hmmmm....not really autobio.... I've done him up to look sort of like me...."off-beat and nerdy" but his outfit (Royal Knight outfit w/red epaulettes) is quite nice. Cletus' outfit is also very nice.... Oh Yeah, the character is in (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Parents and Lego (was Re: Castle Ctuniie-My first castle MOC!!!!!)

(...) ........LOL!!! Sounds like my mother.... I'm in Anthony Sava's position...post college situation. My mom always gives me the "what for" looks when I am seen bringing in another box of lego...or when another arrives.... (I finally decided to (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: (((Corfe Castle)))

Funny isn't it. If Goodrich was about 30 miles away from you, I'd bet you would have been there by now. I've lived that close to it all my life and I have never been there. I've lived in Cardiff for 27 years and never been inside the castle proper (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.castle)

Cut-off dates (Was: BrickFest 2002 Castle Room)

Just wanted to let everyone know that all submissions for panels, workshops, events, or discussions will need to be in by July 1st so there is ample time for planners to get them organized.   Re: Help! I'm being overrun by minifigs!

~This is sick, really sick! No man should ever have the power to wield an army of this size! (URL) have an insane number of troops in each category.   Re: Parents and Lego (was Re: Castle Ctuniie-My first castle MOC!!!!!)

In lugnet.castle, John Henry Kruer writes: [lots of snipping here.] I would have to say that my parents despise Legos entirely (for reasons directly unknown to me). I guess since I started collecting during '97, they at first thought (oh ,sure. It's (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.castle)

Parents and Lego (was Re: Castle Ctuniie-My first castle MOC!!!!!)

My parents border on the edge of 'at least your not playing video games and watching TV' to 'your acting half insane building and buying all these Lego pieces.' It makes for an interesting mix. I don't get much reaction from (other)kids, but the (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Castle Ctuniie-My first castle MOC!!!!!

(...) I don't have much to add more than a comment from my own experience. In the case of my parents, they viewed anything that got me away from video games and TV as a good thing. However, in recent years, especially now that I am graduated from (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Yet another Dragon MOC

  Re: (((Corfe Castle)))

(...) ~U r sooooooo lucky! To live in a country surrounded by spectacular Castles in every direction. Must be phenomenal!   Re: Castle Ctuniie-My first castle MOC!!!!!

(...) Yes and no :( In the case of my parents, they were afraid I was wierd or something. I think they just wanted assurance that I'd be a "normal kid", and not have some sort of emotional problems. So in that regard, perhaps they WOULD rather their (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.castle)
