(...) If I understand it correctly, 'ambient' is what you see if all lights are off. I usually turn this down very low (zero). 'Diffuse' is reflected light from other surfaces, you'd want quite a lot of that. (...) Yes, I think the default (...) (13 years ago, 2-Jun-11, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Problem using difference

Hi Paul, I'd like to thank you for your help on this. I assigned a clear pigment to the box: difference{ object { Scimitr2_dot_dat } box { <40,-43,-360>,<350,85,280> pigment{color Clear}} } It never occurred to me to give the box a color. I am trying to use LPub to generate a set of building images where most of the bricks are white. Unfortunately, they blend in completely with the background at the tops of the bricks. I have found the setting for setting a BG colour for the part (...) (20 years ago, 16-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Hi Rob - I suggest you just export the POV file from L3PAO, and open it in POV 3.5 manually, instead of trying to render from L3PAO. Doing that works just fine for me. You may want to tweak a few things in the POV code, and may need to set your (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Getting camera angle, field of view and distance right
