    Site change suggestion —Travis Cobbs
Despite the fact that ldraw.org is a site about ldraw, the fact is that any new user trying to build models would almost certainly be better off running MLCad than LEdit. It's user-friendly, and Michael keeps adding more cool new features. It's my (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Site change suggestion —Tim Courtney
(...) Good thoughts. (...) I am behind you here. The thought has crossed my mind a little to change the site's focus to more of MLCad, but I haven't had the time to impliment it. After Kidvention, I plan on inserting the site entirely into (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) How will that affect anyone else who maintains pages on www.ldraw.org? Steve (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Site change suggestion —Tim Courtney
(...) It shouldn't. I will do my best at that time to work with you and ensure that nothing changes with what you maintain. -Tim (URL) timcourtne ICQ: 23951114 (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Site change suggestion —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) Well, I still use LEdit as my primary editing tools, and switch between LDLite and L3Lab and L3P for rendering. I'm sure I'm not alone, either. (...) Urk. I'd recommend keeping the site LDraw-centric, but increasing the exposure of MLCad in (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Site change suggestion —Tim Courtney
(...) Yes. (...) I think that that's what I was trying to say, in a hurry, when I was probably on the phone ;) I understand that a good chunk of people find LEdit extremely useful. I'm an MLCad user, but for the next couple things I have to do in a (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Site change suggestion —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) I use LEdit as my primary modeling tool, L3Lab for explorative viewing and LDLITE for final high quality rendering. I've never used a CAD style modeling tool because I sincerely believe that a keyboard interface is more efficient. Especially (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Site change suggestion —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) Not speaking for Frederik, but I think it's simply a matter of levels of expertise. It's not necessarily true that the old DOS interface is more difficult or bothersome, but that it appeals more to an expert user. Conversely, the MLCad UI (...)           Re: Site change suggestion —Steve Bliss
(...) Hmm. Sounds like each command-keystroke should be duplicated, so there can be a set of left-hand keys, and a set of right-hand keys. That way, no matter which hand we mouse with, we can touch-type the command-keys! :) And no, I'm not *exactly* (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Site change suggestion —Steve Bliss
(...) True, but having that functionality shouldn't be used as an excuse for not making a thoughtful design for the mappings in the first place. Steve (24 years ago, 30-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Site change suggestion —Todd Lehman
