Should we document in the Pattern Number FAQ which codes we're using for whom?
For 3626b (Minifig Head):
pS0 - (open)
pS1 - (open)
pS2 - Young Obi-Wan Kenobi (also Luke Skywalker from 2000 and later)
pS3 - Luke Skywalker (from the 1999 sets)
pS4 - Old Ben Kenobi (Tattooine hermit) ***MIS-MATCH***
pS5 - Han Solo
pS6 - (open, but should be "Old Ben Kenobi")
pS7 - (open, but should be reserved for "Darth Vader")
pS8 - Darth Maul
pS9 - Qui-Gonn Jinn
pSA - Lobot
pSB - (open; reserve for Jango Fett???)
pSC - (open)
For 973 (Minifig Torso):
pS0 - (open)
pS1 - Rebel Pilot (X/Y-wing)
pS2 - Luke Skywalker (Jedi robes)
pS3 - Luke Skywalker (Tattooine "farm boy")
pS4 - Han Solo (no vest) ***MIS-MATCH***
pS5 - Han Solo (with vest)
pS6 - Old Ben Kenobi (Tattooine hermit)
pS7 - Darth Vader
pS8 - (open, but should be reserved for "[Darth Maul] Sith Robes and Sash")
pS9 - (open, but should be reserved for "[Qui-Gonn] Jedi Robes and Belt")
pSA - Rebel Mechanic ***MIS-MATCH***
pSB - Boba Fett
pSC - Lobot ***MIS-MATCH***
Notes:
1. Face pattern 3626bpS4 should be "~Moved to" to 3626bpS6. (This will also
eliminate mis-match with Han Solo "no vest" torso...)
2. Torso pattern 973pSC should be re-numbered to 973pSA. (The torso pattern
for the Rebel Mechanic should first be re-numbered to whatever other pattern
number is open, like "pS0" [Pee-Ess-Zero]...)
3. Subparts should be re-numbered appropriately; i.e., by character:
(Lobot):
s\3626bpS9a ---> s\3626bpSA1
s\3626bpS9b ---> s\3626bpSA2
(*AFTER* re-numbering the main file, as stated above...)
(Boba Fett):
s\973pS7a -----> s\973pSB1
s\973pS7b -----> s\973pSB2
(Darth Vader):
s\973pS5a -----> s\973pS7a
(*AFTER* re-numbering the Boba Fett subparts...)
Thanks,
Franklin

| (...) Maybe. OTOH, if we want to pursue this train of thought, it's now or never. Once these files get released, things are pretty much set in stone. And the number of characters should not be a deterrant. We just have to be clear about which codes (...) (23 years ago, 22-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
