Re: Part Naming (was: Re: castle minifig torsos?)

(...) Steve That's exactly the sort of thing I was talking about. Sorry, I hadn't checked out the parts list on the Parts Tracker. I will let you know if I have any other suggestions Thanks Bob (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

New Construction Toy In LDraw Format

Here are a few very unofficial elements I've thrown together and posted at the request of a few clone-fans. (URL) for the LEGO Purist, I warn you. I pondered whether or not it was appropriate to list the link in .dev, but Ryan Farrington recently (...) (23 years ago, 22-Oct-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.cad.dev)

Parts Tracker - Torso files  [DAT]

This note is directly mostly at reviewers,[1] but Awhile ago, there was some discussion about the 'neck mark' on the minifig torso. I had mis-modeled this feature, including it on the blank part; it doesn't belong there. Also, I used color 24 for (...) (23 years ago, 22-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Part Naming (was: Re: castle minifig torsos?)

(...) You might want to check the parts list on the Parts Tracker. Especially around the "Minifig" area. www.ldraw.org/librar.../list.html :) Steve (23 years ago, 22-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: castle minifig torsos?

(...) I believe there are numerous parts which could be re-named to put them into the proper place within the parts.lst file and MLcad's parts categories. The first ones that come to mind are the parts named "Town". Most if not all of these could be (...) (23 years ago, 22-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  castle minifig torsos?

Hello all, I am finally getting around to finishing putting my Trojan horse model into LDraw -- I started LEditing it at least five years ago (really, it's a simple model; I've just been ignoring it) -- and I am almost done. All that's left to do is (...) (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LDraw History - here's one for the old timers in the group....

(...) Some more dates: September, 1999 Datsville (at first LCADville) was born. Although Datsville never went as far as I (and others) would like to have seen it go, I think it made an important contribution to seeing what could be done with LCAD. (...)   Re: Parts Tracker - Using L3P-check to scan submitted files

(...) [snip] (...) [snip] (...) No, they should be fine. If you use a line like 0 END ROTATE (upper- or lower-case), that would cause the error message. Maybe we should have specified (back in the day, too late now) that meta-commands all have to (...) (23 years ago, 19-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: "All zeros" warning (Was: Parts Tracker Activity Page)

(...) Yes, I believe they are. I haven't rechecked lately to see if anything has changed. If I get a chance in the next few days I will recheck it. (...) I understand and agree. I will cease making any comments on them. (...) really? ok. (...) Paul (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Parts Tracker - Using L3P-check to scan submitted files

(...) Looks good. (...) I have used the phrase "0 end of subpart", "0 end of file", etc in some of the parts I have made. Will these get rejected? I usually always try to keep them lowercase. (...) I'm not sure about this one. I feel that new parts (...) (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Parts Tracker - Using L3P-check to scan submitted files

Steve: (...) I assume that L3P reports the relevant lines, so it is trivial to remove one of the offending ones. (...) Right. Set a reasonably large threshold (0.1?) and reject based on it. Jacob (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

I didn't list the non-coplanar message with the "reject" group is because the thresholds of coplanarity are variable, not fixed. So we need to agree on what level (...)   Parts Tracker - Using L3P-check to scan submitted files

Hey y'all- I'm just sort of starting to get to adding L3P-check'ing to the Parts Tracker submit function. I took a look at the documented messages, and tried to sort them out according to whether or not any particular error was cause to reject a (...)   Re: "All zeros" warning (Was: Parts Tracker Activity Page)

(...) And I want to say "Thank You!" to Paul for doing this -- Lars Hassing has performed a similar service in the past, emailing the L3P messages to part authors.   Re: Parts Tracker Activity Page

(...) I've taken some time away from the process of posting the backlog of parts to the tracker. I will get back to finish the job, but other tasks have higher priorities.   Re: "All zeros" warning (Was: Parts Tracker Activity Page)

(...) Ok, I'm the guilty party who posted such notes on the tracker. :) I still pass a part with these errors. Some of my earler parts have these too. L3P issues several "warnings" many are not required to correct to get passed. What I am watching (...) (23 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
