(...) I don't really want a part rotated 45 degrees from direction it's going to be placed. The Ldraw 'A' command works in 90 degree angles. That's why I chose the orientation I did for the mockup. (...) Whipped up a simple "filler" piece for the goblet. Fills the goblet to 3/4's full. Works best as a solid color in a translucent goblet. I would have to disgree. The part is half a dome - it takes two parts to make a complete dome, therefore one part is only half of the dome. The fact that the resulting shape is not half of a circle is largely irrelevant IMHO. Even if you remove the (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
