figure 8 cross sections when put back to back, and that the cross section of two
back to bac is actually lozenge shaped. I was working from faulty memory and had

Nevertheless I don't think "half" is the right term. Although it's not as bad as
I thought, I guess.

The horizontal (ie parallel to the Y=0 plane) cross sections all terminate with the normal to the curve at right angles to the open face and the widest part of the cross section is always at the (...) (20 years ago, 17-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
