Re: new axle hole (part two)

(...) Yes, yes you do. I believe you have the descriptions for 4 and 5 reversed. :-) 2 - (and so do I) (22 years ago, 18-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Re: new axle hole (part two)

(...) Lack of planning, I think. ;) Seriously, the axleholes are more complex than most other types of primitives, and presented in different ways in LEGO bricks. So there's a need for more variations. Just for fun,[1] I put together a gallery of (...) (22 years ago, 18-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

  Re: new axlehole (part1)

(...) [snipped DAT code] Mark, Is this primitive supposed to be a substantially different profile than axleho11.dat? Other than splitting it into two different files. (URL) Steve (22 years ago, 18-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

  Re: Baseplates with pattern

That would work but... what if you want to render the base with the Lego logo on the studs? L3P and LDView use the stud primitve to determine Lego logo placement. I could live with no Lego logo on some studs but for those who insist on perfection (...) (22 years ago, 18-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Baseplates with pattern

(...) So, what do you think we should do? Several subparts for every new pattern? CU Bernd (22 years ago, 17-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Baseplates with pattern

(...) First, make a plain version of the part, and call it 6092.dat. For LDraw, we always include a plain version of parts, even if LEGO never released the part without a pattern. (...) Once you've got a plain 6092.dat, copy the file to 6092p01.dat. (...) (22 years ago, 17-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Female Ldraw Parts

(...) In general, save the files to C:\ldraw\parts\, with the extension .DAT. In MLCAD, use File | Scan Parts to make sure MLCAD knows about the file(s) you downloaded. For other programs, run the utility c:\ldraw\mklist.exe to rebuild the parts (...) (22 years ago, 17-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Baseplates with pattern

(...) Unless the color makes up 95%+ of the stud, I don't think this would be a good approach. (...) I don't think LEGO's pattern will cooperate with us to make neat sections of studs. So I don't think this approach would really work. Also, thinking (...) (22 years ago, 17-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Baseplates with pattern

(...) Hi all, I know this problem and I think the solutions could be: 1) You take the color which covers the most of the stud. 2) We need to make a half (resp. quarter) stud that could be colored in different colors. Let me know, what you think (...) (22 years ago, 17-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Patterned tiles

How we allocate part numbers - (URL) detail on patterned parts, in particular - (URL) LUGNET posting gives some general advice on patterned parts (URL) be happy to allocate the Ax pattern range (...)   Baseplates with pattern

Dear All, Next my question to you reffers to part I've already started. It is baseplate from the set 5978. It is similar to part 6092px1 I found in peeron.com ((URL) Form is the same, but color and pattern are different. It is rather complicated and (...)   Patterned tiles

Dear All, I've just started my adventure with creating of LDraw parts. I plan to send you my first parts for your evaluation. However I have some questions now. I send them in successive e-mails. My plans are to create some parts from the set 5978 (...) (22 years ago, 17-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Female Ldraw Parts

(...) I'm not sure what it's like when downloading only one DAT file from Lugnet, but perhaps because there were some other non-code lines in the code area, the server didn't do what is normally done. I don't know. BUT, I do know that when you're in (...) (22 years ago, 17-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Female Ldraw Parts

(...) I know, I know... but the file I download is not an LDraw part. Under properties its listed as just 'file' under file trpe. Any suggestions? Also, how do you modify subparts? John Kruer (22 years ago, 16-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: New Part: x727 - Trailer 4 x 16 Ramp

(...) Tore- please don't stop submitting to the tracker. You consistently crank out great work, and I for one appreciate it. I'll happily take the trailer and ramp. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (22 years ago, 16-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: New Part: x727 - Trailer 4 x 16 Ramp

(...) Hi Tore, I'm not sure what to make of this. I think your parts are fantastic and I'm sure many people (myself included) enjoy them even with these insignificant flaws. I'd have thought your parts would have no problems with the official (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: New Part: x727 - Trailer 4 x 16 Ramp

(...) I know, I know, but I couldn't care much less. The parts I make are good enough for making instructions and overqualified for animations, but never good enough for the authorizing crew. It's no use, I won't even try to submit any more parts to (...) (22 years ago, 15-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
