The shape of the ground is a heightfield based on the pattern image type, and the texturing is accomplished using slope-dependent textures. The source for the scene can be found at (...) A big mecha needs a technic skeleton and joints, otherwise its a statue, or a puppet(moveable but with no ability to maintain a pose on its own). Making a full skeleton first will also (...) Wow, that's quite a behemoth Bobby. First I gotta say I love that head, and like the whole Sandrock/Deathscythe feel of it. It expands on the joint technology of 04 with the addition of very strong geared knee joints (rather than a triangular locking arm arrangement). My (...) (I have to keep reminding myself of this ;-) Actually once you go with gears, a non-geared joint just isn't as much fun, not as realistic, though technically a real mecha wouldn't use gears, more like (...) (...) I am happy you like it! As for the arms, this is a Mobile Armor vs. a Mobile Suit so I decided to leave the arms as they are. (...) I love rounded shapes very much, especially when they have a lot of sharp edges! For some reason, rounded edges and machines of war have never made a good combination in my mind. hey guys- just noticed your postings while lurking... i too have used armored castle figs with space and racer heads for that "retro-tech" or "morden-day mounted knight" pilot look, just seemed kinda appropriate. anyhoo- the whole monkey pilot idea (...)
