Sure did.  And don't sweat my feelings.  I want honest feedback.  It makes
me better.  (I survived the UW creative writing program, I can take feedback.)

You're absolutely right.  I'm much more functional in  my design.  My use of
color is almost twofold.  One, I'm trying to mimic shading.  Undersides of a
large object will be darker than the tops.  One could argue the Lego will do
that anyway but that's what I set out to learn.  Also, I like my designs to
look a tad dirty.  Almost piecemeal.  As if the thing has been damaged and
then repaired.

It really all depends on what you were going for. If you were just going for (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
