It does stay up. It works like this: It's narrow technic beams
cris-crossed held together with friction pins with axles at the top and
bottom. Now, when the turret is stowed, everything lays flat no problems.
To get the turret raised; you grab it tilt it backwards slightly and raise
it til one of the top axles clears a 'holding brick' that keeps the turret
up, then un-tilt the turret so the 'holding brick' locks the mechanism in
place. I've got two issues with this: it's sort of wobbly (due to the
nature of technic) and the holding brick isn't very strong. Any significant
amount of pressure and the thing pops right off. (disassemble time...)
Yeah, I keep playing with colors. I like this one. Solid black with
any bright color seems to work well.

How could I have utilized the colors better? Solid red for the body? More
solids? Too many colors? What do you mean?

| (...) Uh, well... I'll give it a shot. Please keep in mind that I'm not trashing your MOC, It's just that I think the colors could have been handled better on this one. It really all depends on what you were going for. If you were just going for (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
