This is the first mech that I have built. I had tried earlier but my earlier attempts never got past feet and stick like legs that would colapse when I touched them. Not only bulky, but extremely loose fitting. You said you aren't into technic but do you have any aqua zone or arctic stuff? You can use the jointed peices with a techinic peg on one end and either two or three fingers on the other. That joint (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

I think that it might work because there are ball joints at both ends of the throwbot piece, but that can still be done (and fairly easily, really) with the new ball-with-axle-hole piece, although it begins to require a shocking amount of (...) Thanks for adding my link!! Thats something thats bothered me for awhile, at first I thought at first maybe I'm just so stinkin bad that they don't want me on there. (...) I do the unthinkable but it's cheap and it works. Get some Throwbot sets and a nice sharp exacto blade. Start cutting at the base of where the useless part starts. This will basically yield 8 ball and socket joints per set like the ones on the (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

I just tried to view your site. After the lengthy download of the Flash intro, I went on to a page with one giant image that didn't load. Nice colour scheme and design! I love all the rounded parts on this model, and I am so glad to see this mecha has wheels on its feet (very VOTOMS/Heavy Gear inspired). The mecha is pretty cool, but that sub rocks! Your use of the round 4x4's as weapon mounts is great. The front ducted intakes are a very nice touch as well. Yeah I tried to streamline it a little more, but unfortunately, I am in the process of building a pirate ship where I made my own hull, so it sucks up alot of bricks, lots of them being grey. Thank you Joel! Would you believe me if I told you this mecha would never been built? I actually thought I could never build something this big, when the majority of grey, dark grey and blue pieces I had came from only 2 Sith Infiltrator sets, and 8 (...)
