Right-o.  Made a couple of changes, took a bunch more pictures.
Hopefully the arms look better now with the added texture and
visual interest.

Very nice!  I've been meaning to pick up some ball joint sets (err, I mean
Techinc 3P0s and Stormtroopers) and experiment with some Mecha...

They're definitely

I read in
another post that you said the hip joints are the biggest problem spot- I know
that some folks that use Throwbot parts for the hips have used double ball
joints- that is, two side by side on each hip in order to distribute the weight
of the torso onto 4 ball joints instead of 2.

Hmm...I'll have to see how that works...it seems to me like it would
prevent the leg from moving, though...anyone have any pictures to
illustrate more clearly?

All of that said... if you haven't named it yet, I'd suggest "yellowjacket" or
something similarly "bee" oriented, given the gold and black striping on the
torso, and the "wings" on the back.  Unfortunately, most "bee"-names
("Honeybee", "Bumblebee") are kinda wussy-sounding, which doesn't fit your
mech...

I'm glad it's not wussy.  8)  I think 'wasp' and 'hornet' have already
been used, so I might have to depart from insect-based names.  Maybe
something from the Japanese...

Oh!  Big kudos on the gun as well.

Rofl.  Everyone loves the gun.  I spent 5 minutes slamming it together out
of my parts bin so the guy would have something to carry.

Here's a link to a mech I think Eric may have been talking about: (URL) more specifically (Using three) (URL) a shoulder (Using two) (URL)All of that said... if (...)
