This is the first mech that I have built. I had tried earlier but my
earlier attempts never got past feet and stick like legs that would colapse
when I touched them. I am very happy with the legs of this mech. But I am
waiting for more LEGO to arrive so that I can complete it. The model breaks
apart into pieces. The core unit is made up of the torso, which holds the
cockpit and the head. The core unit sits on the hips/legs. Currently only
held on by three technic pics with the 1/4 legnth top side whcich fits into
a 4x4 plate at the bottom of the torso. The arms are
removable/interchangable I hope to make a few different arms that will
change the purpose of the mech. Currently the arms are not complete. I have
one upper started but I am waiting for some black click hinges. (I'm out of
click hinges except for the ones I used in the imp suttle and snow speeder
which I can't bring myself to dismantling (yet). The core also has slots for
an interchangable backpack unit. I have yet to build a main gun but I have
built a shield. I have no idea what I am going to do about hands.
Originally it had a 4x4 turntable as the waist but had a tendency to rotate
so I removed it and added 2 2x4 bricks. I wish they made click turntables.
(with the backpack attached the top opening on the torso doesn't open. it
is used primarirly for getting the fig in and to show the inside of the cockpit.
