Very nice models. I really like the blue bots chunkiness in the legs and then transition into a somehwat skinnier torso. The colors work well and the head is pretty unique. I like! Very chunky, good color control. I personally favor mecha with longer legs, but you make the stumpy look work. The wrist articulation seems a little weird, but it's just a minor point. BTW Brickshelf folders display alphabetically, so if you don't want brickshelf to put certain pictures first in the folder, simply prefix them with a 'z' before uploading. It's the gun mounts (and what guns they are!) replacing those somewhat simian arms that does it for me I think. They seem to go better with that leg (...) This ain't bad. You got a pretty workable armature there I think. More basic than Gla Gla's but easier for the average Lego builder to reproduce I think. I'd suggest trying to eliminate one of the braces (technic beams)for the arms and perhaps the (...) (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Oh, it works with TLC's technic stuff -- but yes, it does have the lump in the middle. But it wouldn't work in this case though because the 4x4 round brick attaches via an axle hole (crossed). Introducing my first mecha... The EKC-1 Scout. (URL) This was my first attempt at a mecha. It began as an armature for another project, and turned into something else. Look!  My first all brick mecha!!  I normally do Bionicle but I decided to stepup and try my hand at the classic stuff.
