Float like a Butterfinger, stink like a bean! (well, something like that...)

Seriously though, half of it is the presentation, and your presentation rocks.
The other half is a killer mech!

Thanks, Trev :)

I think the head is great...nice and clean.  It doesn't need to be more
greebled.
I think that the legs and torso are also really good.  Those legs look nice and
beefy.  What strikes me is the height of the legs relative to the supposed mass
and center of gravity of the assembly.  It looks very Star Wars from that point
of view, and if it were knocked over it would a) fall very hard or b) not be
able to get back up.  I would shorten the legs by a few studs overall.  That
would have balance between motion, balance and center of gravity.

Yeah, I guess I went a little big on the legs. I did try to approach things from
a technical sense and in terms of the same principles of Lego building being
applied to "real" mech building. In my Lego universe, I would consider this a
heavy mech. The biggest problem I had was getting joints to bear the weight and
getting this thing to move realistically. So I figured that would be the same
problem in the real world. If this thing were real, the frame would have to be
made of some super tough (and heavy) metal alloy that could take the abuse. The
heavier something is, the slower it moves and the easier target it becomes
(especially from the air). Add the armor plating and it's even heavier. Thus, I
figured longer legs would give it a bigger stride so it can move
faster--covering more ground with each step.

The small guns are also kind of wimpy.

Thoughts?

Yeah, I guess this is one of those "less is more" things with me--both
aesthetically and technically. I just thought a more subtle, efficient weapon
was better than a big, clumsy weapon and best complimented the 56 missiles.

Lastly, I really dig that lion symbol on the front.  Where did you get that?  I
dig the use of the red star wars suits and helmets.

I got that printed slope and the red pilot from the T-16 Skyhooper set.
Actually, I have to say that's probably my favorite minifig now!
