A few construction notes:

The lower legs turned out very nicely. Two hoses are attached from the feet to the leg and the armor protecting the ankle is clipped onto the hoses. The result is that the armor moves naturally with the ankle.

Also, the rifle was quite neat, especially the handle. For realism, the handle had to be slanted. The corner of the 1X3 plate sticks out a little when it is slanted and fits perfectly into the back hole of the 1X1 brick with headlight. The pic is a bit dark but you get the idea.

I REALLY like the rifle, i have been tinkering awhile trying to make a “realistic” rifle without it having a vertical handle sticking out, ive been trying to get the mech to hold the gun itself at an angle (think musket) but i think angling the handle is just a better idea!

All in all i like this mech alot the legs are very cool and the feet are awesome. havent seen any that looked like those before! The dual chain guns that are on the back are awesome! I love the grips you gave them. The rifle is also cool, especially the blade (i think) that runs parrallel to the barrel. The rest of the mech looks pretty solid, and the paint scheme is great. One thing i noticed though is that the torso seems kinda skinny, in my opinion it would looks better if the shoulders on the torso were beefed up a bit.

Keep on buildng man!

(...) Thanks! If I actually have "chains" for the "guns" then I would call them "chain guns" But as of now their just "guns". ;) And yes, it’s a blade. I’ve always like combo weapons like those in Virtual On (Temjin’s beam riffle) and Final Fantasy (...) (21 years ago, 24-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Introducing my second mecha, Smithereens! (URL) Since last week, I've found some time and modified how the weapons were mounted to increase its range of motion and I also added a rifle plus some modifications here and there that aren't so (...)
