(...) I've found the best method of stiffening ball joints is to insert a small piece of paper between the ball and the socket. Fit it snugly in the socket, then snap the ball in otherwise it tears. SoS, i've tried every thing, ball joints aren't strong enough, click hinges are too clunky...i'm at my wits end.....and the shoulders i'm using right now only stay put because they have jolly rancher squares wrappers in them to stiffen them up... Chris, I've got to chime in to say this might be my favorite design by you. The colors and design on the Shen Kai Powersuit are flawless and I love that you built it within theme colors. (...) Wow. that is an amazing mecha. As for imporvements I agree with Frank, I think it would improve if you made the torso wider where the shoulders attach and if the shoulders were less flat.
