Oh my goodness, this is turing out to be very cool!

I’m catching up. Here’s the current status of mine

Wow!, I like it!

Here’s mine as it’s going together

It looks a little pathetic and simple next to yours. Once I see how it looks with the legs on, I may add a few greebles to those flat sides.

oh! oh!

   #6 Make an Arm

Oops skipped #6. Arms an legs are the next step.

The mouth has a pink star wand as the tongue. heh. I’m the man.

Yes you are.

I got a real kick out of adding that part there.

   #7 Make a Spine

I had fun making the tail (the end of the spine) on mine. It’s nice and flexible.

That is killer! It looks so organic, plus I really like all the choice pieces that you used. Just terffic.

The Spine and Hips have been completed and fitted together.
I’m working on the Feet at the moment.

#8 Make some Hips

The nice thing about a roo’s hips is that they don’t move independantly. I’m only using one direction of motion. I did use a worm gear joint for the first time though. It is adjusted by twisting the scrotum on the underside :)

This is funny (to me) because someone asked me the other day if I would ever make a Roo, myself. I thought about it and there you are making one, sooooo cooool!!!!

The single rotation point must be a time saver and a headache saver as well. Nice job.

   Questions, comments and feedback appreciated.

It’s looking impressive so far. I can never work out how you build such large robots so quickly.

I’ve got the legs and arms yet to go on mine, and then detailing the cockpit. I expect there’ll be some re-sculpting of the torso before I’m done though.

This is fun.

Allister

Excellent, I finished the Skrylitch last night. I’m gonna check over the final details before I start my photograpghy. Stay tuned.

Thanks Allister!
