With all the pods being built, I had to make one too. It had to be different though, and of course had to have stowable landing gear. It actually took a surprisingly long time to build (a few hours) to get it to look like I wanted it too. So take a (...) I just found the coolest minifig builder link today. It's a flash program that let's you customize a minifig character to look like you (or whoever you'd like). I really like the idea of a small troop insertion ship, and you've done a great job seeing the concept through. I've done this, too. The surface of a minifig head excluding the rounded edges at the top and bottom is about 1/4" tall. If you use the entire height, a hair/head piece may cover the topmost portion. The width of course can be variable, but most (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jul-02, to lugnet.build)

Each engine pod is attached to the fusilage by two click hinge joints. On the pod side, there are two normal 1x2 click hinge bricks. Attached to each one of those is a click hinge connector piece. I agree that less can be more. Sometimes I jump-start by making abstract Lego designs, i.e. geometrical pieces or 2-d patterns. Or by making a bunch of the same, *little* thing (e.g. a school of fish, or a set of spinning tops in four colors). I (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jul-02, to lugnet.build)

Nice little tank! I think you can probably play around with some 1x2x1 thinwalls and actually get a minifig in the turret hatch.
