The interview with the Cicero biographer, and so on, is available:

Neal Conan also asks Variety magazine editor about the appeal of history
flicks, and takes calls from teachers and others who taught or studied classics.

(Apparently Cicero, like Beowulf, went to the top of the NYT bestseller list.)

In lugnet.lego.direct, William R. Ward writes:

On NPR's "Talk of the Nation" tomorrow, the discussion will be about
the new movies and popularity of books about the ancient world.
Apparently there are no less than three Hollywood producers working on
movies about Alexander the Great.  Gladiator was a recent hit.  I
think it's time LEGO recognized this as a great opportunity for a new
product line for the ancient world.

I know this has been mentioned on LUGNET before.  But I think that
the timing for this is about right, if LEGO were to start working on
it soon...

For example, if one of these movies is targeted at kids, LEGO could
make movie tie-in products.  Minfig Alexander and his gang recreating
scenes from the film using LEGO.  Whaddaya think?
