Re: 2nd Annual Space Building Contest?

You know, looking at this REALLY awful design (whta's it called -- "The Air-Catcher"?) prompted me to make some changes to the nose in MLCad, a yellow Wedge 3x4 plate and a Wedge 4x4 w/ BT logo, and I realized that I wasn't even sure if the former (...) Okay guys, here it is: tell me what you think and if it's time to open the flood gates and begin taking entries. (URL) put my own entry on there as more of an example, but I will eventually be modifying the one you see and officially submitting it (...) I would be interested to know just how many kids prefered to be the cops when we played cops and robbers back then. I for one will admit that I always liked being on the robbers side. Bad guys are always more interesting. Good guys are limited in (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: we want....a shrubbery! one that looks nice... and not too expensive

(...) Hey, you may have a point there. I've got enough of them for normal stuff, but being able to buy them by the pound opens up some *very* interesting modelling possibilities :) KL (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: we want....a shrubbery! one that looks nice... and not too expensive

Oh my goodness. In lugnet.lego.direct, Brad Justus writes: <some sort of Green inspired ranting about CO2 depeleting creatures> Yes yes, shrubbery is very nice. You need something for the trains to run through and all that. Something for the greedy (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.build)

(...) < How many times can I return to answer the same question? > In thinking about this a bit more, I think the attraction to BT1 comes down to the color scheme above all else. Look at it: Black with Yellow highlights. The standard "LEGO" colors (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: Take Two - Heinkel He219 WWII German Nightfighter

(...) Good point; I think I could do this with the current structure by adding 45 slopes to the top of the wing, and shifting everything up by one brick. I could also lengthen them in the same way. I'll try it out. (...) You're right, the silhouette (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) Duuuuude! Don't be like that, give us a reference! I have several of each of the BT1 sets, and lot's of promotional materials from the same BT1 sets MISB (all opened now), and I have NEVER seen this suggested storyline. I am all ears, baby! (...) (...) Actually, a story like that (pretty close) was in the US and Canada LEGO catalog around 1988. Additionally if someone in the Atlanta area needs to use a BT1 minifig, I can loan you one for picture taking purposes. -Jason (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

Brendan, This is got to be the most incredible site I've ever seen with Legos. You should be a cool lego site of the week if they do that for faith based sites. Kudos to you! Keep it up! John (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Gary, I must say, i like this new incarnation better than the last one. The previous canopy just didn't work for me. If i may offer a few suggestions though, i would say the only areas that need a bit of work are the engines and wingtips. - i think (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Take Two - Heinkel He219 WWII German Nightfighter

Thanks to some new parts off BrickBay and a little creative part-shuffling, I've redone my Heinkel He-219, complete with bubble canopy, tricycle landing-gear, and enough dark-grey plates to finally cover the wings. To be honest, my last post looks (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Ihaa! Success at last!

Hi everybody! I had a therory that a 2ft (24inch, 60cm) mech can be created using only lego System pieces for joints (no Technic, no Binocle). I just tested my theory and I think I am right (at least to some extend). Using the old 2x1 vertical (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
