Thank you.  I shoot for that.

Just the thought that I have wasted a good portion of my life building tanks is
sickening when I look at the Titan!  There is really nothing like a good
heavily armed mech.

Yeppers, that's why I like em'

I have never seen this done on a chicken type mech so I have to ask, why don't
you have any weapons on the legs, like the Heavy Arms Custom (Kai)?  Having
this mech with an additional 10 or so cannons and a few dozen missiles attached
to the leg will really be something :)

You know I have thought of this and I think it would look cool, but I have a
"reality" issue with it.  If the legs are moving all over the place,
bouncing off of terrain, kicking boulders, destroying buildings, jostiling
with the shock of 200+ tons of mech falling on it, whould anything mounted
to the legs do any good?  Maybe, I can see it but nahhhhh.  The Mech'd have
to stop to shoot.  If you know armor then you know that stopping in the
middle of a fire fight is a sure way to die.  Now I might put things on
there reminicant of weapons but are more mechanical in nature.  Like twenty
rocket packs (for propultion, not arament) or gas canisters, or feul cells,
or antennaes, or whatever.

Now there is a type of design out there that I am thinking of emulating and
that is where the shoulder and hip do double duty.  In this design, the body
rides very low, it is the hip in essence, and the arms come out of the other
side of the leg.  So in a row horozontially it is arm, thigh joint,
hip/torso, thigh joint, arm.  This design looks a little funny because it is
so squat and wide.

Oh yeah, and this is nice too.  I like the use of the droid bodies.

Great work!

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback.

(...) :) To be honest I think you are way past the reality problem. If the Titan existed and it fired even a few of its cannons at the same time it will fly back in to the air. (...) Well its a thought. I have never seen it done and I will never try (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
