Gah.... that's bad. I think I bust a LUGNUT or two.
The legs are pretty simple. A solid skeleton of technic beams with
decorations bolted on. The weakest point is at the hip, where Titan looks
as if he's looking down. I'm still fooling with that joint to see if I
can't give him a leg up. One of the new features on Titan that I havn't
done before is the heel support. Once these things get so heavy, that
reverse knee puts all the weight on the heel, and blammo; head over heels
she goes. That support puts the weight more straight down keeping Titan
standing. Doing this after a while makes one a master of checks and balences.
The funny thing is the command module that slides. (the big hump behind the
cockpit) As it slides back, revealing the engine, the weight shifts making
it more balanced. Put the module back forward and the thing tips forward
slightly.
I'd like to say I planned all this but in reality it's more my Lego Zen in
action. The mech is in the pile of Lego, you just need to put the relevant
pieces together. Allow your Chi to guide you. ;)
