Take Two - Heinkel He219 WWII German Nightfighter

Thanks to some new parts off BrickBay and a little creative part-shuffling,
I've redone my Heinkel He-219, complete with bubble canopy, tricycle
landing-gear, and enough dark-grey plates to finally cover the wings.

To be honest, my last post looks totally lame compared to this one, so
please take a second look.

I ended up using B-Wing bubble canopies instead A-Wing ones, since the grey
transparent looked much better than white transparent.

Gary, I must say, i like this new incarnation better than the last one. The previous canopy just didn't work for me. If i may offer a few suggestions though, i would say the only areas that need a bit of work are the engines and wingtips. - i think (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) Wow! That's incredible! How did you get it to balance on its wheels? Looks like you fixed the engines too, so they don't rotate with the prop (How'd you do it?). Very well done. Now if you really want a challenge, make the landing gear (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Normally, I'd just sit back and silently admire someone's efforts, but as model aircraft are a long-time obsession of mine (35+ years) I have to say: I am in awe. Given the inherent limitations imposed by the medium, this is amazing. (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)
